GVAL Volunteers at Higley School District Art Festival


 The Higley School District Art Festival at Williams Field High School was a big success on May 1st! Thank you GVAL volunteers Sharon Hess, Peter Eobbi, Jean Smith and Richard Van Belleghem for hosting fun art activities for children and adults. The GVAL art experiences included self portraits, fun creatures, watercolor, and card making. Well done! (from Facebook post by Donna Finter).

Simple line drawings of people and horses now took on shades of meaning and emotion. To this day, color animates her richly-hued canvases. Second only to color is her love of rendering the human form. "There is a whole world to be discovered in a face, in a gesture, in the subtle turn of a hand," she says.
